The University of Rochester is excited to announce our new web resource. To meet your diverse career exploration, as well as internship and job search needs, we have partnered with CareerBeam, LLC to bring you the best company and industry research tools, international databases and lead generation technology available today. Highlights and features now available via CareerBeam include:

• Search Companies includes over 17M organizations containing company overview, key information and business intelligence. You’ll access 20M industry contacts, many with biographies and contact information, which is great for identifying your “hit list” of prospective employers and connecting with alumni.
• Industry Research Database covering over 200 industries, enhancing knowledge of potential target firms, as well as interview performance.
• Company Intelligence, including all Dun & Bradstreet information to create specific Industry, Company, and Geography searches to target company hit lists. There is also a “research on demand” feature that allows you to request research on companies not currently in the database.
• Track Companies & Manage Contacts assists you finding new positions in target companies, storing key contacts, notes, resumes, cover letters, and positions descriptions, and scheduling follow up calls and interviews. 
• Job Trigger technology continually scans more than 20,000 business sources for over 150 categories that reveal actual job postings. Over 25,000 new job triggers are identified every day. Triggers that match your criteria are emailed to you as leads.  
• International Database covering over 70 countries for career opportunities.
• Assessments/Exercises creates a personalized career report to assist with goal setting.

To self-register and begin using CareerBeam immediately, access the site through yoUR CareerLink. (Log in and look for the CareerBeam logo on the top left of the page.) Then, if you haven’t already done so, schedule an appointment with one of our counselors to discuss your goals and to complete an individualized CareerBeam tutorial.  Once counselors are aware of your internship or job search objectives, they can show you how best to utilize CareerBeam as you complete your steps to success.  Again, and again, we work one student at a time offering individualized attention, and seeking to address the unique needs of each individual.  Please let us do so, by scheduling regular appointments.
