Sean Rodrigues, a senior in Chemical Engineering, received a Best Poster award in the Graduate Researchers Division at the Trends in Nanotechnology Conference in Tenerife, Spain this past November. The research presented, “Interaction Between Dipole Emitters and 2D Plasmonic Nanoparticle Arrays,” was achieved at Northwestern University, under Professor Teri W. Odom of both the Chemistry & Materials Science Departments. The cost of the conference and traveling expenses were provided by the University of Rochester’s Office of Undergraduate Research through the Undergraduate Portable Research Grant (now the Research and Innovation Grant).
