Travel Arrangement Form

The McNair Program will provide round trip transportation for participants, if needed.  We prefer to purchase these tickets for you; however, we can also reimburse you if you make your own travel arrangements.  If you purchase your own ticket, we cannot reimburse you until the entire ticket is used at the end of the program.

If you drive to the university, we will reimburse you for mileage, so make sure to keep track of the actual mileage from your home to campus.  If you have a car on campus, you will be responsible for purchasing a parking permit.

Note that you must return to the same airport from which your travel originates.

Scholars traveling from NYC will most likely travel on JetBlue from JFK.  When more than one scholar is coming from a specific place, we make every effort to arrange for them to take the same flights. 

Also note that someone from the program will be at the airport to meet your flight and bring you to campus.  If you make your own travel arrangements, and inform us of your arrival time, we will make every effort to meet you as well.

Air or train tickets that the program purchases for you are non-refundable, and non-transferable.  Should you want to change any part of the ticket, you will be responsible for any additional fees; if you are unable to use the ticket, you will be responsible for reimbursing the program for the cost of the ticket.
