Bio
I am a professor of political science and economics and director of the W. Allen Wallis Institute of Political Economy at the University of Rochester.
I received my Ph.D. in social science from the California Institute of Technology in 1995.
My specializations are economic theory, political economy, and social choice theory. My current
work is on dynamic models of bargaining and elections, multi-dimensional spatial models of
political competition, informational aspects of voting and elections, and incentives in social
planning problems.
