Kim Kopatz has been the Curator of the Visual Resources Collection (VRC) since 1987. Her responsibilities include developing the Collection to support the instructional needs of the Department, creating a general collection for the non-specialist, providing reference service for the VRC and the Art/Music Library, classifying slides so that images can be found easily and quickly, and overseeing the daily operation of the collection. Kim has also worked in visual resource management at the Cleveland Museum of Art, the Cleveland Institute of Art, and Hobart & William Smith Colleges.
Within the visual resources profession, Kim is active nationally. She is a member of the Art Libraries Society of North America and the Visual Resources Association, and most recently edited the publication Guidelines for the Visual Resources Profession, which won the Visual Resources Association's 2000 Nancy DeLaurier Award.
