How do I get onto the Rochester Alumni Exchange and what services are available through the exchange?

First time visitors need to request a one-time promo code to create your account. To request a promo code, email alumni@rochester.edu with your name (include maiden and former names), class year, school and address.

The Alumni Exchange includes online alumni directories, class notes, career networking, Facebook connections, and a regional events calendar.

How do I get a list of classmates?

You can get a list of classmates by logging onto the Rochester Alumni Exchange. If you do not have a NetID and password please contact the Alumni Office at alumni@rochester.edu for your one time promo code to set up an account.


How do I get a UR alumni email?

The UR email is an email forwarding system that you can use as an alternative to your email address. Please log onto the Rochester Alumni Exchange with your net id and password. If you do not have a NetID and password please contact the Alumni Office at alumni@rochester.edu for your one time promo code to set up an account.


Does the University offer career services for alumni?

Yes, the Gwen M. Greene Career and Internship Center offers a variety of services and resources for alumni. Full details can be found here.

Alumni are also encouraged to engage in our series of free webinars featuring topics presented by the nation’s top career experts in resumes, job search, social media, networking, personal branding, and career exploration. In addition, alumni can log onto the Alumni Exchange to access the Career Advisory Network.


Can alumni use the Campus Libraries – and can research databases be accessed remotely?

Alumni are welcome to visit the library. Staff will provide assistance in locating materials both in print and electronic format. Alumni may use library materials within the library, or print or photocopy them using the library's self-service printers and copiers. There is a fee for printing and copying. As a UR alumnus/a, you may bring your alumni ID to the circulation desk in either Rush Rhees or Carlson library.

University alumni can stay up to date with a wide variety of premium news and research content brought to their desktops by University Advancement, Alumni Relations and the Library. With a UR NetID, they may access this content from any location. Click here to find out about NetIDs for alumni. Alumni may access the full range of the Libraries' licensed content while they are in the library. Off-campus access to selected resources is available through the Alumni Library Gateway.


How do I get an official transcript?

Transcripts can be ordered online (if you graduated in or after 1986), by mail, by fax, or in person. Full details can be found here.


How do I get an alumni ID card?

Visit the ID Office located on the first floor of Susan B. Anthony Hall. (ID cards are free to alumni). Call 585.275.3975 for hours.


Are alumni allowed to park on campus?

Alumni are allowed two complimentary campus parking permits per month. Beyond that, visitors can purchase one-day permits at the visitors’ booth near the Elmwood Avenue entrance. An Alumni ID is appreciated. Parking is free between 7 p.m. and 7:30 a.m. Monday – Friday and throughout the weekend in non-reserved spaces.


Can alumni use the campus athletic facilities?

All faculty, staff, alumni, friends of the University and part-time students are welcome to join the facility membership program, The R Club, at any time throughout the year. Membership fees include access to all of our facilities, including fitness classes, private or group tennis and squash lessons (additional fee), and participation in our club sports programs. The membership fee for Rochester alumni is $230 per year.

Does Rochester have club reciprocity with any other institutions?

The University explored several options with New York City member clubs regarding providing affiliate memberships. Unfortunately, at this time, there are no plans to offer affiliate club membership.
