Thank you for your interest in the UR Involved Alumni and Parent Volunteer Program. In partnership with the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, we offer a broad range of volunteer admissions opportunities to suit your interests and schedule. Before completing the volunteer application below, please read the detailed description of each opportunity on the Admissions Volunteer Opportunities page.

We are seeking volunteers who understand the importance of representing the University, accept the responsibilities that accompany their role, and realize the significant impact their actions can have upon prospective students, their families, and the University.

Volunteer Opportunities

STUDENT CONTACT:
Alumni Interviewing
NOTE: Only alumni can interview prospective students. However, parent volunteers play an important role by speaking about the University from their unique perspective as a current parent.
I would like to interview students during a one-day, day-long, interviewing session with fellow alumni and UR Admissions staff (applicable in larger cities)
I would like to conduct one-on-one interviews with prospective students in my area

Congratulatory/yield phone calls to admitted students (early decision, children of alumni, regular admits, award winners)
EVENTS:
College Fairs—Alumni and parent volunteers staff local college fairs in area high schools, malls, and convention centers. Volunteers may attend fairs on their own, with another volunteer, or with an Admissions counselor.
I would like to attend the Summer Send-off reception in my area for incoming freshmen and their parents (applicable in larger cities)
I would like to host a Summer Send-off reception for incoming freshmen and their parents from my region
I would like to attend the Admissions information reception in my area for prospective students and their parents to talk about my own experiences at the University of Rochester
