The Burgett Intercultural Center (BIC) constantly works towards creating a safe and inclusive campus with the goal of making our community one in which all members can identify, comprehend, and avoid bias, stereotypes, or prejudices. To help further this goal BIC offers or supports:
- LGBTQ Safe Zone Training
- Bias-Related Incident Reports
- Multiple workshops including Creating an Inclusive Community and Understanding Privilege and Taking Action
- Discussion groups like Queer Students of Color, Queer Jewish Students, and UR Dreamers
- Funding and co-sponsoring events, projects, and activities
It is important to take care of both your physical and mental health. Students who need help are encouraged to reach out to a councilor at the University Counseling Center (UCC). Students can also find supportive community through one of our discussion groups.
You can also refer a student to UCC by submitting an individual concern CARE referral.
