SMD/AS&E Master's Degree Commencement Ceremony

Academic Attire (cap and gown)
All candidates participating in the ceremony are required to purchase University of Rochester regalia (cap and gown) through the University of Rochester Barnes and Noble Bookstore located in College Town, phone 585-275-4012. The cost for master's regalia is $77.96.
Master's Degree candidates must arrive in Lowry Hall (the main hallway in Kilbourn Hall) by 11:15 a.m. to allow sufficient time for robing and assembly of processional columns. Candidates will be lined up at 11:30 a.m. in alphabetical order according to their school and degree (MA, MPH, and MS). The procession will begin at 11:50 a.m.
Accomodations will be provided to those who need accessabile seating. If a wheelchair is needed for a guest, arrangements can be made trough the following companies on a daily/weekly basis. As their inventories are limited, please call and make arrangements promptly.

Guests may enter through the main entrance of Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre. Tickets are not required for this ceremony.
Parking is available for this event in the East End Garage (accessible from East Main Street in either direction, via East Avenue, Scio and Swan Street), at a number of nearby lots, and on the street.
A University of Rochester photographer will photograph all degree recipients as they receive their diploma. After the ceremony, you may take additional photos with your guests at the reception.

Things to do after the Ceremony and Reception
A visit to the Memorial Art Gallery or the annual Lilac Festival is highly recommended after the Ceremony and Reception.
