Useful Blake Links

The William Blake Archive
is an elaborate electronic resource designed to "sustain scholarly research." The Blake Archive (1996-) contains "fully searchable and scalable electronic editions" of Blake's illuminated books "in the context of full, up-to-date bibliographic information about each image, intricate transcriptions of all texts, detailed descriptions of all images, and extensive bibliographies." The Archive also features a searchable electronic version of David V. Erdman's Complete Poetry and Prose of William Blake, the standard printed edition for reference. The Archive's own compilation of Sites Related to the William Blake Archive is also useful.

The Blake Digital Text Project
includes an online Blake concordance, an electronic edition of Erdman's Complete Poetry and Prose with somewhat different aims from those of the Blake Archive's Erdman edition (see above), a "graphical hypertext" of Blake's Songs, and a hypertext edition of The Everlasting Gospel, plus various annotations and bibliographical materials.

The Blake Society
The Blake Society of London sponsors monthly lectures and produces an annual journal, sent to members. It also sends email announcements about Blake-related events in the UK.

Tate Britain (Teacher's Guide)
A guide, aimed mainly at high-school teachers, produced by Tate Britain in conjunction with its 2000-2001 Blake exhibition.
