Neuroscientist
The Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences at the University of Rochester seeks a neuroscientist investigating mechanisms of perceptual, motor, or cognitive processing in animal models. Of particular interest are applicants investigating biological mechanisms of age-regulated plasticity, recovery of function, learning/memory, or decision-making in behaving animals. Applicants combining cellular/genetic methods with physiological/computational approaches to elucidate systems-level function are especially encouraged to apply.
Qualifications:
While the position is aimed at the Assistant Professor level (tenure track), exceptional mid-career candidates will be considered. The successful candidate will join a vigorous department engaged in a broad array of neuroscience research using neurobiological, computational, and behavioral approaches. The department is part of a broad neuroscience community engaged in graduate and undergraduate education.
