As part of our new initiative in American Politics, the Department of Political Science at the University of Rochester invites applications for positions in four different related subdisciplines starting July 1, 2015, at either the tenure-track or, for exceptional candidates, at the tenured level.

Applied Political Economy

We define the field of applied political economy in broad terms, including those working in macro political economy, those testing empirical models derived from formal theory, and those studying the political and economic determinants and consequences of policymaking. Candidates are expected to have technical training in formal theory and an active research agenda applying theory to substantive problems in political science.
