Tenure-track Position
Department of Religion and Classics, invites applications for a tenure-track appointment in Chinese religions and contemporary religious movements in China. Candidates must be prepared to engage with theoretical and thematic issues in the study of Religion and be familiar with interdisciplinary approaches to the study of religious texts and practices. This position is one of several anticipated as part of a multi-departmental, interdisciplinary initiative in the field of Chinese/East Asian Studies.
Qualifications:
Potential for continuing scholarly achievement and demonstrated excellence in teaching is essential. PhD and appropriate language proficiencies required. Candidates should be prepared to teach undergraduate courses at all levels (four courses per year) and be eager to contribute to shaping the intellectual life of the department and the broader scholarly community.
