Expectations for Excellence—Accreditation 2007

The Fraternities and Sororities at the University of Rochester annually submit their chapter's Expectations for Excellence. This program is a success driven model that encourages the chapters to become a larger part of the college community rather than exist as insular groups on the periphery. The program encourages co-sponsorship of events with other fraternities, sororities, and non-greek groups on campus as well as more interaction with college offices and increased use of college resources.

In December each chapter submitted the 2007 Annual Report and 2008 Expectations for Excellence Plan with their proposed events and strategy for the 2008 year to the Fraternity and Sorority Standards Sub-Committee who reviewed them. The chapters also gave a fifteen minute presentation to a review panel composed of two staff, faculty, or alumni, and a student. The Fraternity and Sorority Standards Sub-Committee reviewed the annual reports, the plans, and the feedback from the reviewers, along with supplemental information provided by the chapters and Fraternity and Sorority Affairs. After reviewing these materials the Fraternity and Sorority Standards Sub-Committee Committee has made their decisions on which groups achieved Accreditation for 2008.

The following group was inactive for the 2007 Expectations for Excellence Process hence was not eligible for accreditation: Phi Iota Alpha Fraternity

The following group reactivated during the 2007 Expectations for Excellence process and will be eligible for accreditation in 2008: Lambda Pi Chi Sorority, Inc.

The following groups did not receive accreditation:
Alpha Epsilon Pi Fraternity
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority
Delta Kappa Epsilon Fraternity
Psi Upsilon Fraternity
Theta Delta Chi Fraternity

Some chapters have opted to provide copies of their reports online--if so, they are hyperlinked below. Otherwise, all reports are available for review in Fraternity and Sorority Affairs, 510 Wilson Commons.
