Background and Interests

I grew up in Poland in the exciting 1980s and 1990s; our family's TV was always tuned in to the evening news.  Looking back, it's no surprise that I ended up doing research in political science, since I was only seven when I decided that current events were way more interesting than cartoons.

When I am not working, I enjoy sports like biking, squash, and tennis.  I also enjoy sightseeing, hiking, photography, and poetry by Szymborska.
