Graduate Students

Please refer to the checklist below to prepare for your arrival to the University of Rochester!

After receiving your admissions email, log into your Applicant Status Page and fill out the Applicant Response Form.

Make housing arrangements, either graduate housing or off campus.
NOTE: The housing lottery takes place the first week in May.

Set up your NetID by clicking on University Account Initialization

Complete your Health History Form, which will be mailed to you.

Complete your Payment Agreement Form.

Set up your University email account via myidentity.rochester.edu

Submit your official final transcript and/or graduate certificate/diploma, which shows the conferral of your bachelor’s degree, to the office of Graduate Studies

Make travel arrangements to arrive to campus:

  • Wednesday, August 20th for the International Student Orientation Program (international students only)
  • Thursday, August 28th for all Graduate Students in Arts, Sciences and Engineering (including those who completed their undergraduate program at Rochester)

In addition to the above matters, please consider the following additional items:

Complete the New Student Request for I-20 for your student visa.

Pay the I-901 Sevis Fee.

If you are interested in participating in English Language Courses, please visit the ESL Summer Intensive Program.

Once you arrive in Rochester, report to the International Services Office.
