Week 4

This week we will learn skills that can help in the professional setting. Some of the activities and topics for discussion will include:

Office life: Welcoming students (or colleagues), making small talk and “getting down to business”.
I am in expert in ____ing: We will learn how to discuss your research interests and areas of expertise with potential employer and networking contacts.
It’s not what you say but how you say it: We will consider the impact of nonverbal aspects on your overall message.
