English as a Second Language (ESL) Course for Arts, Sciences, and Engineering Graduate Students
For many people, speech sounds are mystery. Just how do we make sounds anyways? Just what exactly do we do with our mouths? What makes one sound different from another? This week, we will look at some of these questions and lay a firm foundation for self-correction speech sounds.
We will also be taking a look at the counter-intuitive notion that "sloppy" speech can be easier for your listener to understand (linking).
