David T. Kearns Center

Funding for the Center

To sustain this ambitious program, the University seeks to establish an endowment of $10 million. In launching the program, the College has focused on students beginning in their first year of undergraduate study, adding cohorts of students each year. This allows the work of the Kearns Center to begin immediately, while the endowment increases through market growth and additional gift support.

The Kearns Center revitalizes our commitment to raise all our students to higher levels of knowledge and social conscience. As David Kearns understood that “diversity is good for business” in the United States, we understand, too, that diversity is vital to the success of the University’s mission. An institution based on these principles will continue to play a significant and unique role in American society and will grow and flourish in the 21st century. The University welcomes the support of those who wish to honor the contributions of David Kearns to diversity in the American workforce and to address a systemic problem in society today. More information can be obtained from one of the members of the Honorary Committee or from a member of the coordinating committee at the University of Rochester.
