Filip Blachnio, born in Ostróda, Poland, is a senior at the Eastman School of Music. He studies piano performance with Professor Thomas Schumacher and harpsichord with Professor William Porter. He is a recipient of numerous awards, including a Fine Arts Award in piano from the Interlochen Arts Academy, from which he graduated in 2003. In addition, Filip Blachnio holds a minor in mathematics from the University of Rochester.
