At the end of the 19th century two kids - children of engineers working on the Suez Canal - are kidnapped in the heart of the African continent. The children manage to escape from the hands of their captors along with two African children and embark on a journey across the harsh yet breathtakingly beautiful African landscape. It is not an easy task. Amidst the wilderness and the fires of local wars, they are faced with many obstacles and terrifying adventures. They also have some fun as they learn about life on their quest to return home. Gavin Hood Actor, director, writer, and producer.
