Igor Lipiński

A graduate of the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Music High School in Tarnów, Poland, Igor Lipiński is currently a sophomore at the Eastman School of Music, studying with Professor Douglas Humpherys. A 19-year-old pianist, Lipinski has won the Grand Prix for Young Pianists at the Paderewski Festival at Kąśna Dolna, Poland, and the Grand Prix Award in the piano category at the Paderewski Festival in Buffalo, N.Y. He also is the recipient of the City of Tarnów Presidential Award for Outstanding Achievements in the Arts. He has given numerous recitals in Buffalo, Honolulu, Hawaii, and Pittsburgh. In the Buffalo area, he has performed at the River Theater in North Tonawanda and at the Chautauqua Institution in Chautauqua.
