Robert G. Klimasewski
The Conference on Multinational Corporations in World Politics at Jagiellonian University is being made possible through the generosity of Robert G. Klimasewski. He is a leading supporter of The Skalny Center for Polish and Central European Studies at the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York. Mr. Klimasewski completed his undergraduate and graduate degrees in Optics at the University of Rochester in 1966 and 1967 respectively.
Mr. Klimasewski serves as Chairman of VirtualScopics Inc., a manufacturer of medical imaging analysis tools that help clinical researchers speed up the drug development process. The company has patented algorithms that allow researchers to analyze data from computed tomography, MRI scans, PET scans, and ultrasound, with the aim of helping pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device companies determine how a drug candidate is working (or not working). Mr. Klimasewski was a founder of Burleigh Instruments, a high technology company that developed instrumentation for the telecommunication industry. In addition to VirtualScopics, Inc., he serves on the Boards of other technology companies.
