and Elka, meet a fascinating, mysterious Jewish boy. David Weiser
opens for them a new world – of miracles and mystique. He
is scheming something unusual. However, at the very last moment
an accidental explosion occurs. Weiser disappears without a trace
and despite investigation neither his body nor his clothes can be
found. Awards: Three “Eagles” (Polish Film Awards), for best pictures, best editing, and best sound. Nominated for Golden Berlin Bears, Berlin International Film Festival, 2001.
Wojciech Marczewski Born: 1944, Lodz. Film and television director and screenwriter. Studied history and philosophy at the Lodz University. The Lodz Film School graduate. Professor in film schools in London, Berlin, Copenhagen, Lodz and Katowice.
