NSF Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) Program
Monday, April 20, 2015 from 9:00 - 11:00 am
Gamble Room, Rush Rhees Library
(breakfast refreshments will be served)
The AS&E dean’s office is pleased to offer a workshop for young faculty in research areas supported by the NSF who are interested in applying for the NSF Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) Program in July 2015 or thereafter.
The National Science Foundation's most prestigious awards, the CAREER program supports junior faculty who exemplify the role of teacher-scholars through outstanding research, excellent education and the integration of education and research. The program provides the stability of five years of funding.
The goal of the Workshop is to help potential proposal submitters to prepare competitive CAREER proposals. We intend to provide insights into the solicitation and guidelines, best practices in CAREER proposal writing, panel review experience, and opportunities to interact with program reviewers and recent awardees to learn from their experiences.
For more information please contact assistant deans Debra Haring or Cindy Gary.
Please RSVP by Monday 04/13/2015.
