Food trucks selling on campus are permitted in conjunction with College Community Weekends with approvals from Wilson Commons Student Activities, Dining Services, the Campus Sanitarian's Office and Fire Marshall’s Office.
During academic year breaks and summer sessions food trucks may also be allowed to sell on campus if sponsored by the Breaks Committee and/or the Arts, Sciences and Engineering Office of Summer Programs and Part-Time Studies.
Food trucks may also be allowed on campus as a catered event. Catered events are events where food is provided free to the guests and not sold to individual participants. If the event is catered, the event must be approved through the Food Truck Event Form through the campus Sanitarian's Office.
A process had been created in order to allow student organizations to host food trucks as part of their event. The process will be reviewed each summer to evaluate its success. More information and the application is available here. There are two application deadlines per year: August 10th and January 15th.
Food trucks are not allowed on campus at any other time or occasion.
All food trucks on campus must be on the approved food truck list and be placed in an approved location. The current approved locations with the number of trucks are: Southside (1), O'Brien (1), Wilson Quad (up to 3), and LeChase/Rettner Plaza (2).
