Master's and doctoral degree candidates from the Warner School of Education walk into Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre for their commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 19.
Graduates and their families and friends fill the theater as the platform party arrives.
“It has been our tradition to focus this commencement ceremony entirely on our graduates,” said Dean Raffaella Borasi. “So, there will be no commencement speeches. Rather you will learn something about the story of each of our 2012 graduates.”
President Joel Seligman presents Karen DeAngelis with the G. Graydon '58 and Jane W. Curtis Award for Nontenured Faculty Teaching Excellence. Provost Ralph Kuncl noted that in just a few years, DeAngelis has been the sponsor or cosponsor of 19 completed doctoral dissertations, “setting a new record for Warner.”
