SMD Masters Degree Commencement Ceremony

Academic attire is required for graduates participating in the Commencement ceremony. Candidates order and pick up their regalia at the Medical Center Bookstore.
Only candidates who have returned their participation card to the Offices for Graduate Education may participate in the ceremony. Masters Degree candidates must arrive at the Eastman School of Music no later than 11:15 a.m. to allow sufficient time for robing and assembly of processional columns. Candidates will be lined up in alphabetical order according to their degree (MA, MPH, and MS).
At 11:50 a.m., all candidates are to be lined up in their proper columns, ready to begin the procession.
Accommodations, at the student's request, can be made for persons with disabilities by contacting the Offices for Graduate Education (585) 273-1620. Seating will be available in Kilbourn Hall and must be reserved by April 29, 2009. Ushers will be on hand to direct guests to the designated seating areas.
Tickets are not required for this ceremony but please indicate the number of your guests (up to 4) attending this event on the reception response card. Please be sure to communicate with us if you will need to increase the number of suggested guests. We will do our best to accommodate your request.
Parking is available for this event in the East End Parking Garage which is adjacent to the Eastman Theatre on East Main Street.
A University of Rochester photographer will photograph all degree recipients as they receive their diploma. After the ceremony, you may take additional photos with your guests at the reception.
