May 11, 2016: Hutchison Road, Wallis and Dewey lots to close after Commencement
As part of Phase 2 of the Science & Engineering Quadrangle project, starting Wednesday, May 18, Hutchison Road, Wallis Lot, and Dewey Lot will all temporarily close through Aug. 15, 2016. All parking accommodations as part of these closures are on the University Parking & Transportation website (http://www.rochester.edu/parking). A temporary accessibility ramp will be installed in the front entry of Wallis Hall to accommodate the closure of the east entry. The walkways going to Hutchison/Hylan halls coming from the east entry of Wallis Hall, west entry of Hopeman, and from Gleason and Schlegel will not be accessible until after Aug. 15. Pedestrian traffic will be relocated around the north and east end of Hopeman Hall, and around north and west sides of Wallis Hall to reach Hutchison Hall, Hylan Hall and the Computer Studies Building. April 14, 2016: Science and Engineering Quadrangle Update – Phase 1 and Phase 2
As part of Phase 1 of the Science & Engineering Quadrangle project, the current construction site at Wegmans Hall will expand south toward the Computer Studies Building. There will be no sidewalk closures as part of this first phase, which will be in effect through Commencement Weekend. Immediately after Commencement Weekend, on May 16, Phase 2 of the project will begin, which will require the lower stairs and sidewalk to be closed from Hutchison Hall to Hutchison Rd. As part of Phase 2, Hutchison Rd. and Dewey Lot will be closed until August 15, 2016. More details to follow.
