Bausch & Lomb Hall

From July 7 to 25,  from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., workers will install chilled water mains from Bausch and Lomb Hall. Work will move from the building’s loading dock toward Intercampus Drive.

All deliveries to the loading dock will need to be coordinated and occur when excavation work has ended for the day.  Pedestrian access on the sidewalk between Gavett and Harkness halls will be detoured. The Harkness Lot will be unavailable the week of July 21.

I-390 Corridor Overhaul, New Interchange

The multi-phase, multi-year project is expected to wrap up by fall 2015.

Work will continue in March 2014 with Improvements on West Henrietta Road/Mt. Hope Avenue at the bridge over I-390. A new ramp will be constructed and there will be some additional work on the approaches to the bridge. The project is expected to be complete this fall.

Recent updates:

Northbound I-390 is scheduled to close between West Henrietta Road (exit 16) and Scottsville Road (exit 17) from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. starting Monday, March 17, for approximately five nights. Northbound traffic will be detoured to exit at East Henrietta Road (exit 16) and will be directed to continue straight to West Henrietta Road, left to Jefferson Road, right to Scottsville Road to re-enter I-390 North. Detours will be posted all week.

The entrance ramp from West Henrietta/Mt. Hope (Rt.15) to I-390 northbound will be closed and motorists should follow the detour. Southbound traffic on I-390 will not be impacted.

Also during this time, I-390 will be reduced to a single northbound lane at approximately 7 p.m. each night. A single northbound lane will be reopened at 5 a.m. All lanes will reopen by 6 a.m. each morning. Work will take place each night next week, as weather conditions permit.

The closures allow for the placement of steel girders on top of concrete piers as part of the project to create a new entrance ramp from Kendrick Road to I-390 Northbound along the Erie Canal in the town of Brighton.
