The American College Theater Festival, administered by the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., extends invitations only to outstanding companies and productions. Rochester's performance of Shakespeare's Coriolanus , produced in spring 1996, was judged by a festival jury as one of the five best productions from colleges throughout the Northeast, including Mary land, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and the District of Columbia. About 20 Rochester students will attend the festival.
Mervyn Willis is artistic director of the Theater Program. Nigel Maister, associate director, currently directs many of the productions on campus.
