River Campus undergoes summer improvements

The Department of Planning and Project Management recently announced its summer project schedule for the River Campus. The map and key explain and illustrate the construction agenda.

1. Wilson North hockey field (start May'97-complete October '97)
   Construct new sports field.

2. Hill Court Bridge replacement (start May '97-complete November '97)
   Remove and replace bridge/relocate telecommunications ductbank.

3. Meliora Plaza reconstruction (start July '97-complete September '97)
   Replacement of waterproofing and plaza pavers.

4. ADA improvements (start June '97-complete September '97)
   Improve Accessibility at Rush Rhees, Meliora and Wilson Commons.

5. Fauver turf repair (start May '97-complete June '97)
   Glue down markings and stripping.

6. ADA improvements (start April '97-complete June '97)
   Improve accessibility at Alumni Gym/Zornow and Fauver Stadium.

7. Gilbert renovation (start May '96-complete June '97)
   Last phase of quad dorm renovation.

8. Strong Auditorium upgrade (start June '97-complete August '97)
   Replacement of seats and carpeting in upper Strong.

9. Admissions Office relocation (start May '97-complete November '97)
   Multiple moves to accommodate Admissions Office in the Administration Building.

10. Chapel Plaza reconstruction (start July '97-complete September '97)
    Structural repairs, plaza replacement, and sidewalk expansion.

11. Residence halls network project (start June '97-complete September '97)
    Network cabling to fraternities, Hill Court and Towers dormitories.

12. Masonry repairs (start June '97-complete August '97)
    Brick and concrete repairs to Hutchison, Hylan, and Lattimore Halls.
