EXHIBITS

April 1July 6, Leagues Apart: The Men and Times of the Negro Baseball Leagues. This show is the story of the men of the old Negro Leagues. Included are 15 original pastels for the book of the same name by Lawrence Ritter, as well as uniforms, photographs, and other artifacts from an extensive collection of Red Wings memorabilia. Memorial Art Gallery.

May 23August 17, Artists' Artists. This collection features self-portraits of artists as diverse as Rembrandt van Rijn and Andy Warhol. The works from the Gallery's collection span 500 years. Memorial Art Gallery.

May 27June 20, Visually Literate II: Art by Library Staff. This exhibition features Balkan beadwork, Pysanki decorated eggs, and photography by staff of the River Campus Libraries. Art Library Gallery, Rush Rhees Library.

June 23July 11, A Library of Images. This photographic exhibition features snapshots depicting Rush Rhees Library's people and patrons. Art Library Gallery, Rush Rhees Library.

Continuing, Henry David Thoreau Collection. This exhibition showcases a rare, complete, and extremely valuable collection of Thoreau's works, donated to the University of Rochester Libraries by Raymond R. Borst. It includes first editions of all Thoreau's writings and other materials. Department of Rare Books, Rush Rhees Library.
