"The thoroughfare is being blocked in order to reduce the amount of traffic through the lot and to prevent potential accidents," says Glenroy Sicard, administrator, University Parking and Trans portation Services. "The end result of this initiative will be increased safety for pedestrians crossing the lot and motorists assigned to park there."
Those normally using this area as a means to move from one side of campus to the other should adjust their routes accordingly, Sicard adds.
