EXHIBITS
September 27 through November 16, Rediscovering the Landscape of the Americas. Seventy-three works of the past decade show how landscape painting has evolved in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The artists range from the famous -- Wolf Kahn, Rackstraw Downes, Janet Fish -- to young, emerging talents.
Through October 26, Bless the Beasts. Casual observers and ardent animal lovers alike will find much to enjoy in this exhibition of prints and drawings from the permanent collection. Artists include Rufino Tamayo, Morris Graves, Francesco Clemente, and Joseph Raffael.
Through November 9, Decorative Bindings from the Tioga Point Museum. Although he never finished high school, utilities magnate George N. Tidd had a passion for beautiful books. When he died in 1952, he willed an extraordinary collection of them to the tiny Tioga Point Museum in his hometown of Athens, PA. Thirty of the finest are on exhibit.
