In addition to the services that are already available to you if you have an account on uhura.cc.rochester.edu, UCC is pleased to announce that it has extended those services to include server space for students, faculty, and staff to publish their own home pages. The steps needed to get your home page up and running are outlined at uhura.cc.rochester.edu.
Are you currently teaching a class at the University and would like an easy way to contact students and continue discussions outside the classroom? UCC and the University Registrar's Office now provide faculty with an easy method of applying for mailing lists for classes they are teaching. Mailing lists are ideal for discussing issues, posting announcements, and providing an area for asking questions and getting answers outside of the classroom environment. Please visit www.uis.rochester.edu/isis/instruct.html to apply for a mailing list.
The University Computing Center has developed a web page that will be used to distribute information on hardware and software related to the Year 2000 and computer systems at www.rochester.edu/Year2000.
