Beat the winter bug; get a flu shot

Flu season is approaching. Vaccinations for Medical Center staff, faculty, medical and nursing students, and volunteers with patient contact will be available at no cost during the program dates below.

Flu shots are also available for all other members of the University community who do not work in the Medical Center, for a cost of $11, with University ID.

Flu shots will be available in the House of Six Nations Cafeteria, at the north end, on: Tuesday, October 14, 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. and 5-6:30 p.m.; Thursday, October 16, 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m.; Monday, October 27, 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m.; Wednesday, October 29, 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. and 5-6:30 p.m.; Monday, November 10, 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m., and Wednesday, November 12, 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m.

For night shift employees, flu shots will be given in Room1-1230 (next to the Family Waiting Room), Monday, October 27, and Wednesday, November 12, from 7-8:30 a.m.

After these dates the flu vaccine will continue to be available at University Health Service (UHS) by appointment on a fee-for-service basis. UHS hours are Monday and Wednesday through Friday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. and Tuesdays 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
