Provost announces tenure committee

The Provost recently announced the membership of the standing committees for promotion to limited tenure for the 1997-98 academic year. There are three such committees, each comprising five faculty members serving five-year terms. Members are appointed by the President and the Provost.The committees are chaired by the Provost, with the Vice Provost for Research and Graduate Affairs serving as ex officio.

Members are:

Arts and humanities -- Jonathan Baldo, Eastman School; Douglas R. Brooks, Religion and Classics; Kenneth W. Gross, English; Claudia Schaefer, Modern Languages and Cultures; and Janet Wolff, Art and Art History.

Physical and biological sciences -- Arie Bodek, Physics and Astronomy; Christopher M. Brown, Computer Science; Ashok Das, Physics and Astronomy; Thomas Eickbush, Biology; and Kathy W. Nordeen, Brain and Cognitive Science.

Social science -- Mark Bils, Economics; Dale Dannefer, Warner School; Kathleen B. King, Nursing; Lawrence S. Rothenberg, Political Science; and Abraham Seidman, Simon School.
