University volunteers will have an active February, readying themselves and their materials for the February 24 kick-off of the 1997 University United Way Campaign.
"This is a jam-packed month for our volunteers," says Lenora Colaruotolo, the University's United Way Campaign coordinator. "From viewing training films and attending training seminars to studying in formational brochures, volunteers will be prepared and ready to go public by the time the University's United Way Campaign begins."
Volunteers will be ready to share information on the various ways to make donations, she says. Donations can go to support all United Way Programs, or through the Donor Option Program, to a specific agency. Donors may also choose an area of impact or type of service to support.
River Campus volunteers will be treated to a kick-off breakfast at the Faculty Club on Thursday, February 20, at 8:30 a.m. At the Medical Center, volunteers will breakfast on Friday, February 21, at the House of Six Nations Cafeteria, at 8:30 a.m.
All University volunteers can expect to see campaign materials sometime after February 10, Colaruotolo says. Members of the University community can expect to receive their pledge forms and ac companying literature sometime after February 24.
"Volunteers will be able to answer any questions donors might have," Colaruotolo says. "The University will also have a 'hotline' available to answer any questions a volunteer can't."
The University United Way Campaign hotline is x3-4722.
