Wind Ensemble goes interactive

With the help of computer technology, audience members will create music during an upcoming University Wind Ensemble concert.

The Symphonic Wind Ensemble will present "An Interactive Concert!" on Friday, February 21 at 8 p.m. in Strong Auditorium. Admission is free and open to the public.

During this innovative merging of technology and music performance, participants can play with hands-on computer music instruments in the lobby of Strong Auditorium before the concert, and then hear their creations come to life as part of a new composition written especially for the Wind Ensemble by Gregory Wilder, an Eastman School of Music student composer.

The 65-member Wind Ensemble comprises both University students and members of the Rochester community. Mitchell Robinson conducts.

General admission and parking for the concert are free. For more information, call x5-2828.
