Students, faculty and staff are invited to participate in the Community Service Network's Alternative Spring Break Program. Anyone interested in participating can pick up an application and information sheet at the network's office in Room 312, Morey Hall.
Participants travel to various sites around the country and work on community service projects during Spring Break, March 8-15. Five trips are planned this year: a Habitat for Humanity trip to Atlanta, two trips to Native American Reservations (one in Canada and another in Arizona), a trip to Keeseville, N.Y., and a nature conservation trip to Estero Bay, Fla. Those who do not wish to travel may still volunteer to help Flower City Habitat for Humanity build and renovate houses in the city of Rochester.
For more information, stop by the network's office or call Rubyat Kibria, x4-2398, or e-mail rk001d@uhura.cc.rochester.edu, or call Jennifer Romano, x5- 4085, or e-mail romj@uhura.cc.rochester.edu.
