The festivities, which are open to the public, begin with a buffet dinner, catered by Shanghai Restaurant, in the May Room and Bridge Lounge of Wilson Commons from 6 to 8 p.m. Cultural performances will be held from 8 to 10 p.m. in Strong Auditorium, and a dance party will be held in the May Room from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m.
Dinner is $7 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under. Tickets to the performances are $2 for adults and free for children. The dance party will be $5 at the door and $4 in advance. Tickets to all China Night events are on sale now at the Common Market in Wilson Commons.
Chinese Awareness Week will be held from Monday, February 24 to Thursday, February 27. Two moviesone cultural and the other comedywill be shown. Also planned throughout the week are opportunities to learn Mah Jong, Go, and Chinese chess, the Chinese art of ribbon and paper folding, and tai chi.
