College combines Reunion, Homecoming

The first combined Reunion and Homecoming celebration for younger alumni, students, and faculty of the College is being planned for Friday, October 17, and Saturday, October 18. Students and faculty are invited to join the classes of 1977, 1982, 1987, and 1992-97 for events throughout the weekend, including a Friday afternoon networking reception and an evening kickoff party featuring a performance by J.T. and the United Booty Foundation.

On Saturday, a first-ever homecoming parade and pregame picnic will lead off the traditional football game against Chicago. Saturday's activities will also include receptions for fraternities, sororities, and other affinity groups, and the always-popular Yellowjackets in concert. Homecoming events are being sponsored by the student group STING (Students Together in Networking Graduates), while Reunion is being coordinated by the Alumni Relations and Development office.

"In various surveys, Rochester students have asked for more events that will encourage spirit," said Diane Crane of Alumni Relations. "We are urging people to come back to school with their blue and gold."
