Campus parking rates remain stable
University Parking Services will be implementing changes and new policies for River Campus zone parking for 1997-98. Parking rates, however, will remain the same.
The zone boundaries for the River Campus will remain unchanged, with one exception. Since the Admissions Office will be moving to the Administration Building in the fall, with other offices moving to Meliora Hall at a later date, the Meliora Lot has been added to Zone 1A.
Visitor Parking will continue to be centralized in the Library Lot.
The following new policies have been implemented:
- The wheel-lock fee has been increased from $15 to $50.
- Some "15 minutes with flasher" spaces will be replaced with parking meters.
- Additional meter spaces will be installed on the River Campus.
- Parking in no parking or fire lane areas will not be accepted at anytime, even for just 15 minutes with flashers.
An Appeals Committee will oversee a new appeals policy that became effective in January. The committee meets once a month to review and process violation appeals. Important aspects of this process include:
- After two negative appeals per year per person, no additional appeals will be accepted.
- Appeals received after 10 days will not be accepted.
- Appeals submitted for multiple tickets will not be accepted.
- Appeals for non-permit holders affiliated with the University will not be accepted.
