New student billing information

New for undergraduate students: Beginning with the 1997-98 academic year, students will now be billed on the basis of charges for each semester.

New for all students: Payment plan agreements are applicable only to tuition and required fees. All other charges cannot be deferred and will be due in full by the date indicated on the billing statement. Examples of deferred charges are tuition, health and activity fees, and room and board. Examples of non-deferred charges will appear on the back of each billing statement.

New for undergraduate students on the international two-payment plan: The University continues to offer a two-payment plan for undergraduate students with an international billing address. Beginning with the 1997-98 academic year, these students will now be billed for second- semester charges in October and they will be due in full by December 10. Arrangements to have funds available for payment should be made well in advance of each due date.

Reminders for all students: Payment plan agreements were due in the Bursar's Office by June 1. When the first billing statement is received, please contact the Bursar's Office to elect or change a payment plan and a new agreement will be mailed.

Health insurance is charged to all full-time students. However, this coverage can be waived if the student is covered under an existing plan, by submitting a health insurance options form. The forms were distributed to all new students in their admissions packets and to returning students at the time of registration.

If a student's first billing statement includes a charge for health insurance, and a student wishes to waive this coverage, contact University Health Service, (716)275-2637, to obtain a health insurance options form. Complete the form and return it to University Health Service before the due date indicated on the bill, to have the credit reflected on the next statement.

All payments must be made in U.S. dollars to ensure proper crediting of the student's account.

For more information, call the Bursar's Office, (716) 275-3931, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday.
