Viewpoint Lectures

Through 1998, Form and Glaze: Fulper Pottery from the Donald S. Hall Collection. Fulper ware, a prized American art pottery from the early 20th century, is highlighted in this collection of more than 50 objects collected over 20 years by Donald Hall, former director of Strasenburgh Planetarium.

Through September 20, Vitreographs: Prints from Glass Plates. Pioneering glass artist Harvey Littleton has invited other artists to experiment with vitreography, an innovative printmaking process that uses sand-blasted glass plates. The exhibition includes 49 vitreographs by many artists.

Through September 13, Art Glass by Modern Masters from Rochester Collections. Works in this show include pieces by five artists featured in last year's White House Collection of American Crafts: Dale Chihuly, Harvey Littleton, John Littleton, John Kuhn, and Kate Vogel. A six-foot glass feather by Stephen Dean Edwards, and a fragile "bubble vessel" by Stephen Rolfe Powell will be displayed along with works by other area artists.

Through September 6, A is for Architecture. An exhibition of 20 delicate watercolor drawings of house plans from the collection of the Rochester Historical Society.

Through August 23, Chaim Gross: Song of Songs Portfolio. An exhibition of lithographs, some inspired by the Biblical love songs attributed to King Solomon.

Through July 26, Rochester Art Club Juried Exhibition. An exhibition showcasing the works of the country's second oldest art club.
