ANCIENT ECHOES: Archaeologist Mordechai Aviam, adjunct professor of Judaic studies and district archaeologist for the Israel Antiquities Authority, led a team of University and community volunteers as they excavated the site at Yodefat in present-day Israel. Three-dimensional computer models and other computer animation were used to re-create the site (above). The work will be explored in the national public-television broadcast of Echoes from the Ancients at 10 p.m. Thursday, December 17.

HOLIDAY HOURS

The School of Nursing will be closed on December 24 and 25 for the Christmas holiday and will be closed on December 31, 1998, and January 1, 1999.

The Customer Service Center will have shortened hours during the winter recess. Starting Monday, December 21, through Friday, January 8, the hours will be 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The exceptions will be for the holidays: The center will be closed December 24 and 25 and also December 31 and January 1. Regular hours will resume on Monday, January 11.

Correction

A story in the November 23 issue of Currents announcing the appointment of Lenora Colaruotolo as coordinator of this year's United Way Campaign at the University misspelled Colaruotolo's name. We regret the error.
