To make space for presentations and poster sessions, all undergraduate classes at the College have been canceled for Thursday, April 8, and Friday, April 9. The conference ends at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 10. Classrooms, lecture halls, and almost every public area will be filled with visitors discussing their research. The campus community is welcome at all events.
Just being on campus makes everyone an honorary host, but students, faculty, and staff can volunteer by e-mailing Jennifer Chisholm at jchisholm@services.rochester.edu or calling x3-5207.
Rochester's presenters will be among the largest group, with 60 students explaining their work on such topics as cloning and mapping of genes, fossil finds, and an investigation of the Heaven's Gate movement. More details about the conference program can be found on the Web at www.NCUR99.rochester.edu.
