RE:	Listservs

In order to better serve the University community, University Facilities & Services has established two listservs that will allow all University faculty and staff to receive facilities notifications. These new listservs will replace the e-mails that you currently receive regarding facilities notifications.

Subscribing to these listservs will provide you with all of the facilities notifications regarding the following: utility shutdowns, facilities projects, traffic bulletins, emergency condition updates, and other facilities messages that pertain to either the Medical Center or the River Campus and all associated roadways and grounds. You may subscribe to the listservs by following these directions: Compose an e-mail message to majordomo@cc.rochester.edu. (Leave the subject line blank.) In the first line in the body of the message, type subscribe medctrnotices (for the Medical Center) or type subscribe Facility_notices (for the River Campus). Then, send the e-mail message.

In a few minutes, you will receive an automated reply back from majordomo with a code to authenticate your subscription request. Follow the directions in the message and send back the authorization command in a second e-mail to majordomo@cc.rochester.edu. You will then be successfully subscribed.

To unsubscribe from the list, use the same procedure as above but type unsubscribe medctrnotices or unsubscribe Facility_notices in the body of the message and send the e-mail. You will then get an automated message returned saying that you have been unsubscribed.
