Get primed for the SesquicentennialAlumni are now receiving birthday cards from the University to officially announce next year's Sesquicentennial commemoration. Yearlong festivities include events across the country and culminate in a celebration on campus October 13-15.This Sesquicentennial Reunion Weekend will be a time for reflection and reconnection. Symposia, speakers, entertainment, sporting events, and class reunions are all part of the celebration. Beginning with the new year, Currents will run regular features on the Sesquicentennial that cover both the history of the past and history in the making during the 150th year. In addition, the Currents calendar will keep the University community up-to-date by listing Sesquicentennial events. We'll get a little bit of a jump start in the next issue, which will feature a Q&A with Mary Jo Ferr, director of the Sesquicentennial, who will discuss plans for the event. Stay tuned!
